STOCK VIDEO LOOPS
Video Stock Box was designed from the ground up to be simple to use. You should be able to start generating video (once you have purchased the full version) in a couple of mouse clicks. Let’s take a look at the interface:
There are a grand total of three dialog boxes in the program.Let’s look at each of them in turn.
The control panel is split into two sections. Since we don't have enough space to display the whole dialog on this web page, we've used this an excuse to chop the control dialog in half. Here's the first half of the control dialog.

While most of the buttons on this section of the dialog are fairly self explanitory, there are couple of things worth mentioning. The frame rate shows the frame rate that the clip is play back at on your machine. The frame rate that the video is exported at depends on the current choice of format in the Video Export Settings.
So even if a clip plays back at only 5fps on your machine (inside Video Stock Box), it will play back at smoothly 30fps or 25ps when exported as a video clip.
The timeline indicate the position of playback within the loop. It's an interactive control, which means you can drag it backwards and forward to the precise point in the loop that you want. So why would anyone want to do this? The answer is that Video Stock Box can be used to generate still images for use on the web. The background for the header banner on this site was made using a still image from Video Stock Box. Since each frame of video is a still image, Video Stock Box contains around 7.5 million still images.
When a check is placed in the loop check box, chosen sequence will play back in a loop.
We decided to implement this feature once we elected to include in excess of 500 loops with the program. Finding the precise loop you want in the small window isn’t always easy. As a result you can click on the Big Window button and open a much bigger sequence browsing window. As with the smaller window, just click on the image of the sequence you want to play back and click on the play sequence button.
Click the image of the loop you want to play, then click the big button marked “Play Video Loop”

There are only two controls to talk about on the second half of the dialog, but there are some ways of manipulating the controls that may not be imediately obvious, so we'll cover them here in some detail.
Basically the Video Stock Box Loop Selection tool lets you select the loop you'd like to play back. A loop has to be loaded into Video Stock Box before it can be exported from the program as a video clip. Click the image of the loop to select it. Click the "Load Selected Video Loop" button to load it.
This section of the help file deals with the sort of frequently asked question that we grow tired of hearing. We know this isn't the correct bouncy bright eyed and bushy tailed approach to support request that is often recommended for independant software vendors to adopt, but we're only human.
Because you can’t. This isn’t what the program was designed for. It’s a massive library of stock video loops not a video editing program. Are you the sort of person that tries to write a novel using Microsoft Excel then complains about the lack of text editing features?
Because it features a Copy to Clipboard function: This places a lossless digital copy of the current frame on the clipboard. You can then paste this into any graphics editing package, edit it as required, then export it in the format you want. In addition, Video Stock Box can export Bitmap files which are also lossless. We designed the program under the assumption that anyone with the intelligence to realize Video Stock Box can be easily used as a graphic design tool wouldn’t want rinky dink still image export features included. Also, licensing image export libraries isn’t exactly a trivial expense for struggling software developers.
If you can provide us with a pressing reason why JPEG or PNG export is useful to anyone with access to an image processing package, the please do.
Because you can’t, this isn’t what the program was designed for. It’s a massive library of stock video loops sold at a fantastic price. If you want to make your own video loops then you need to buy Video Fun Box.
Let’s hazard a guess… Does everything run really slowly on your system? Does Outlook Express take 5 minutes to open? Do other programs stop responding and crash all the time? If so, then it’s likely your computer is, objectively speaking, a heap of junk. Sorry to be blunt about this, but since the system requirements for Video Stock Box are so low, it’s hardly reasonably for you to complain to us about how old and shoddy your computer is. Maybe you should consider upgrading. If your computer is more than 7 years old, it’s time to treat yourself.
However, if other applications run reasonably well, it’s likely that you’ll need to upgrade or re-install your graphics card driver. There are some very rare situations where Video Stock Box can end up running on software implementations of OpenGL without any hardware acceleration, which will result in terrible performance. If you think there is genuinely something wrong with the performance of Video Stock Box which can’t be attributed to the decrepit nature of your computer, then please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
